Abstract
Short discussion item on the publication of a report about the impacts of reducing road space for cars. The key findings of the report were that the installation of bus lanes, cycle lanes and pedestrianisation schemes have rarely caused as many problems as expected. Moreover, in sime circumstances, a proportion of the traffic which used to use the affected road had effectively disappeared from the traffic network studied
