Empirical investigations were carried out for Milton Keynes Council, to appraise the role defined for park and ride (P&R) schemes within the Local Transport Plan. A strategy of one dedicated medium-size site combined with a number of smaller sties integrated with the existing bus network was recommended. Considerable potential to enhance walking, cycling, and, in particular, car sharing, was identified
