Abstract

Ecosystem services (ES) spatial data covering Amapa state in Brazil. This dataset consists of 110983 data points with a resolution of 0.01 degrees (~1.1km). "POINT_X", "POINT_Y": The spatial coordinates of the data points. "SOIL", "AGB", "BIODIV", "REGCLI", "LOCCLI", "HERIT", "NTFP", "RECR", "AGRI", "TIMBER": The ordinal values for the provision of the 10 ES analysed. Values are on a scale of 1 to 5, where 5 represents the highest provision category. "LAND_USE": The corresponding land use category according to TERRACLASS (INPE, 2014). "AD1", "AD2", "AD10": Simplified land use categorisation, where "1" corresponds to forest, "2" corresponds to forest disturbance areas respectively with a radius of 1/2/10 km from forest edges created by deforestation, and "3" corresponds to non-forest. "ES_INDEX": Total ES provision index. To reach this index, individual ES values were first normalised to a 0 to 1 scale. "DIST_FO": Distance (in km) to the closest edge in all forest data points. Values are categorised, where 0 equals the [0, 1[ km interval, 1= [1, 2[ km, etc.
