Abstract

This paper studies the interconnection of fixed and mobile users with computing resources through heterogeneous optical/wireless networks. An MILP model for virtualization of physical infrastructures is proposed. The impact of service characteristics on energy consumption and resource requirements is quantified. © 2012 OSA.
