Abstract

This short piece notes the significant roles played by lawyers in the governance of bioethics in the UK and considers three options that might emerge following this disbanding under the 'Bonfire of the Quangos' under the Coalition Government of some of the bodies previously charged with this activity. The options discussed are personalisation, Parliamentary oversight, and privatisation.
