Propagation of picosecond pulses in silicon photonic crystal slab waveguides.

We present a rigorous theoretical and numerical analysis of pulse propagation in silicon photonic crystal waveguides, showing that in the slow-light regime linear and nonlinear effects depend on the group-velocity as vg -1 and vg -2, respectively. © 2009 Optical Society of America.
