Abstract
The Generic Preservation Model v1.4 was further developed based on the previous version of the model created in LIFE1. It acts as a tool to identify and estimate the preservation costs of a digital object's lifecycle. The spreadsheet includes sample data from LIFE1 which can be pasted over (formats, numbers of objects etc). Note that the POC (and other relevant constants) should be adjusted when applying the model. For more information about the GPM, please refer to the final report of LIFE1 and LIFE2.
