Abstract

This monograph studies the poetics of the visual image in avant-garde cinema via the contributions of the era's camera operators.

Additional information:The manuscript submitted to Berghahn has been accepted for publication without the need for revision. It consists of 125,000 words and will be accompanied by photographic illustrations. I am currently working on preparing the manuscript for publication (stylistic amendments, introductory pages, general bibliography, etc.). The deadline for submission of the manuscript is the end October 2012. The monograph is scheduled for publication in the summer of 2013.
