Abstract

Percutaneous transhepatic assistance of endoscopic procedures is being used increasingly in cases where endoscopic cnnulation of the biliary tree fails.1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6A complication of this technique when used to aid biliary stenting in a patient with a CBD stone, which resulted in biliary peritonitis is described. Contributary factor are discussed. © 1989.
