Abstract

We demonstrate low-dispersion and low-loss THz pulse propagation in dielectric-lined metallic waveguides. Waveguide modes are visualized using THz near-field imaging. Experimental dispersion characteristics and analytical approximations for the propagation constants will be presented. (C) 2009 Optical Society of America
