Abstract

Neutron elastic scattering has been used to investigate the magnetic structure of neodymium in the 4-q state below 6 K. The magnitudes and directions of the moments associated with each of the four wavevectors present in this phase have been determined, and the results compared to those obtained for the 3-q phase between 6 and 8 K.
