Abstract

We report on the first post-growth band-gap engineered quantum-confined Stark effect (QCSE) tuned two section ridge waveguide laser, having the most uniform frequency modulation response (+/-3dB) in the widest modulation bandwidth (30kHz to 6GHz) yet reported for QCSE tuned lasers.
