Abstract
Objectives This report looks at the use of metrology data for online control of robots and other automated and mechanized positioning devices. Scope of this document The integration of the Leica T-Mac, and allied technologies, in process control operations is reviewed. This report also contains a review on “Adaptive Robotic Control” which will cover applications of triplanar camera systems, robot arms and robot CMMs. Examples of processes include: - • Adaptive Control with the T-Mac / API technologies • Real-time feedback • Datuming of mobile precision machine tools There is an overlap with SoA report no. 2 on “Structure mapping” which deals with 6DOF measurement for hidden feature location. Report no. 2 contains background information on measurement techniques and system operation which are not duplicated here. Cross-references are used as may be appropriate.
