Abstract
D2.1 describes an initial investigation into the capability of two generic optical non-contact measurement systems to record two Airbus Artefacts manufactured from materials and with surface finishes that are representative of the proposed LDA wing. D2.1 makes reference to example artefacts from other institutions and comments on the relevant standards and guidelines being developed to assist in optical non-contact metrology. D2.1 makes suggestions as to how the emerging requirements for LDA might be supported through development of a more refined artefact.
