Abstract

This report provides information on the valuation of non-accident impacts of speed and the distribution of journey lengths that are made. A description of the impact of speed on journey time together with an example is provided. The valuation of non-accident impacts of speed are described and example values for noise and exhaust emissions are provided. There is considerable variation across the member states in both the extent of the use of valuation and of the values placed on non-accident impacts of speed. The values of many of the non-accident impacts of speed are yet to be fully specified
