Title: Attitudes towards pensions and retirement at age 50 : initial findings from the National Child Development Study
ISBN: 9781906929152
Language: English
Additional information: The timing and nature of retirement is changing and against this context the paper examines the attitudes of a nationally representative sample of nearly 10,000 individuals who are approaching retirement. The paper shows that concerns about income and living standards in retirement are widespread and perhaps most significantly demonstrates that a huge proportion of 50 year olds consider it likely that they will work beyond retirement. The paper uses logistic regression models to analyse variation in attitudes.
