Title: Education responses to climate change and quality : two parts of the same agenda?
Open access status: An open access version is available from UCL Discovery
Language: English
Additional information: The article - coauthored with a colleague from the UK Department for International Development - examines the potential for education to respond effectively to the challenges of climate change. Discussion explores these issues in terms of both educational infrastructure and approaches to teaching and learning within schools in developing countries. It also outlines the potential for teaching and learning about climate change to act as a support to other international education agendas, including quality provision. As of yet, this area of work has been largely neglected by academic research, and so is an important contribution to understandings of how education can help to address climate change.
